What to Make of the 2025 NCAA Recruiting Changes
We are likely to see some big changes to the recruiting landscape in 2025 NCAA sports such as:
Elimination of scholarship limits - each NCAA sport will have expanded scholarship opportunities for each rostered athlete
Institution of roster limits - each NCAA sport will have a cap on how many players they can roster
Colleges will establish a Names, Image and Likeness (NIL) budget to pay student athletes
As this will certainly make recruiting more competitive, Jack was able to talk with Senior Recruiting Analyst, Michael Babich from SportsRecruits.com to make sense of all the changes.
This 20-minute podcast covers the pros and cons of these changes for both male and female athletes. Michael also provides some advice on how high school athletes can enhance their recruiting profiles and draw interest from college programs.
In addition to the podcast, Michael has also written this article for those interested in learning more.
Thanks to Michael for coming on, and for those athletes interested in getting further help with the recruiting process check out SportsRecruits.
